The
Foundation for a Sustainable Texel is an organization which initiates and
stimulates activities to promote sustainable development on the island
of Texel. The Foundation is active in six main areas: Renewable Energy,
Sustainable Building, Sustainable Business, Transport, Information and
Education and Multiple Land Use.
Representatives
of a number of organizations on Texel form the
board of the Foundation. This ensures broad support for the
Foundation on Texel.
The
Foundation is funded by the council of Texel, the province of Noord-Holland,
Texel's business community and a number of other backers.
